Grain amaranth is considered a pseudocereal because of its characteristics similar to those of true cereal grains.
However, botanically it cannot be included within this plant group. Weight: 500G.
Its seeds make various foods such as cookies or the "sweet of joy", a very popular dish in Mexico made with amaranth, honey, raisins and walnut seeds.
Lacking gluten this food can be part of the diet in case of celiac disease.
Amaranth is a cereal rich in protein and fiber.
How to use: Cook in triple its volume of water for 30 minutes approx. Let stand 10 minutes until all the water is absorbed.
