Chickpea flour is a type of flour obtained from the crushing of dried chickpeas, ideal for its nutritional benefits within a healthy diet.
It stands out for its texture, compared to other flours, which turns creamy when mixed with liquids, and for its tremendous binding power when cooked on fire.
It is ideal as a substitute for the egg, helping to bind and weigh the dough as the egg itself would.
From a nutritional point of view, it stands out as a food rich in vitamins of group B, such as vitamin B1 or thiamine, B2 or riboflavin, B3 or niacin, B6 and folic acid or B9 (vitamin necessary in pregnancy to the formation, development and growth of the baby).
It also provides vitamins A, C and E, as well as provides interesting amounts of Omega6 fatty acids, and a high iron content, being able to double the iron intake found in meat.
This chickpea flour is ideal for making vegetable omelets without eggs, and also for making breads, purees, etc., for its high nutritional value.
